This full-day adventure combines a historical journey through the winding alleys of Stone Town a UNESCO World Heritage site with a sensory exploration of a local spice plantation. You'll learn why Zanzibar is known as the Spice Island while tasting, smelling, and touching the exotic plants that defined the island's trade history.
Start your day with a walk through the heart of Zanzibar. Our guide will take you to the most iconic landmarks, including the Former Slave Market site, the Old Fort, the House of Wonders, and the Sultan’s Palace. You'll navigate the narrow streets, admire the famous intricately carved Zanzibar doors, and soak in the vibrant atmosphere of the Darajani Market.
After a local lunch, we drive to the rural spice plantations. Here, you will see how cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, pepper, and vanilla are grown. You'll have the chance to taste tropical fruits and watch a "Butterfly Man" climb coconut trees while singing local songs. It’s an interactive experience where you can touch and smell the raw ingredients of your favorite spices.
