Experience the ultimate Zanzibar boat excursion. This journey takes you to the historic Prison Island (Changuu Island), home to Aldabra Giant Tortoises, followed by a blissful afternoon on the white sands of Nakupenda Sandbank. "Nakupenda" means "I Love You" in Swahili, and you’ll understand why as you enjoy turquoise waters, premium snorkeling, and a fresh seafood feast prepared right on the sand.
Board a traditional dhow from the Stone Town shore for a short 30-minute cruise to Prison Island. Originally intended as a quarantine station, it is now a sanctuary for Aldabra giant tortoises, some over 150 years old. You'll have the chance to feed and photograph these gentle giants and explore the ruins of the old prison building.
After Prison Island, we sail to Nakupenda, a stunning sandbank that disappears at high tide. The water here is crystal clear, perfect for snorkeling among colorful reefs. While you swim, our crew prepares a spectacular seafood buffet featuring lobster, prawns, calamari, and grilled fish, accompanied by tropical fruits and Swahili side dishes.
