Jozani Forest, Spice Farm and Stone Town

One day covering the three things people most want to see on Zanzibar: the red colobus, a working spice farm and the old town.

Zanzibar

This is the fullest single day on the island. It starts early at Jozani Chwaka Bay for the red colobus and the forest walk.

From there to a working spice farm, where the growers show you the plants, let you taste what comes off them and explain what each is used for in a Zanzibari kitchen. Lunch is spiced, cooked on the farm, with tropical fruit.

The afternoon is Stone Town on foot: the Old Fort and House of Wonders, the Sultan's palace, the former slave market site, Darajani market and the lanes in between.
