Overview
Nyerere National Park is the new largest national park in Africa. Established in 2019, it covers over 30,000 square kilometers with relatively undisturbed ecological and biological processes, including a diverse range of wildlife. The Rufiji River flows to the Indian Ocean and has been designated as an eco-photo tourist sight for its hippos and rhinos. Visitors are drawn by these animals as well as by other inhabitants like giraffes and elephants that are in Nyerere National Park’s ecosystem.

Tour Itinerary
You'll be picked up at your hotel in Dar es Salaam. Drive to Selous Game Reserve, a 6-hour drive. Enjoy landscapes and features of the country while you are driving. Arrive at lodge for a hot lunch then enjoy a boat drive where you will be able to see crocodiles and hippos. Dinner and your overnight stay are at Selous Safari Lodge.
After breakfast from the camp with packed lunches, enjoy game drives inside the park. Expect to see a large number of animals like lion, elephant, giraffe, buffalo, zebra, hyena, etc. You will also see a large variety of birds, wonderful scenery with varied topography including wetlands, dry grassland, light acacia forest and higher ground with vast views of far-off mountains. During the afternoon, you will take your lunch and have some rest before proceeding with the game drive. Your overnight stay will be at the lodge.
